Struggling with connection to yourself, others, or your writing?

Writing Journeys are reflective events designed to help you cultivate a deeper connection with yourself and your inner wisdom.

Open to anyone interested in self-inquiry, introspection, and going deep. You don’t need writing experience.

You may discover more kindness and self-compassion for yourself.  Explore painful stories holding you back.  Feel seen and understood and find inspiration in the company of like-minded others.

Examples of topics we explore in monthly meetings include body awareness, perfectionism, internalized blame, and gratitude. It’s free to join the meetup group.

“The Forgiveness event was very moving. I had the chance to get down into deeper emotions. I didn’t expect that. Your prompts were very helpful and guided me into a space where I could think more emotionally and less analytically, which was very useful for that event.” ~Greg

Story Journeying

Writing roots you into your inner wisdom and unearths your story. It opens your creative flow and strengthens your spiritual relationship.

Yet you may be blocking yourself from your own story, as well as the ocean of juicy creative magic available to you.

In this 6-week class, you will call in the story that wants to be told and write in in whatever form it wishes to take, such as personal narrative, creative fiction, or free verse.

Spring Equinox and New Moon Journaling: Dream Your New Beginnings

By identifying your desires (and affirming them in writing), there is a much greater chance of them coming true in your life.

Before jumping into new dreams, it’s helpful to recenter and honor the past. Transitioning consciously into the new season means integrating what you learned from the previous season, taking into account your current state, and dreaming of new desires for the future.

Let’s gather and attune with our bodies as well as the cosmic energy.

Connection Through Story: Honor Your Differences

Do you feel different and struggle with feeling disconnected?

When you don’t see yourself in the mainstream media or those around you, you may struggle to make sense of your own experience. You may feel lonely, invisible, or misunderstood.

Hiding parts of yourself provides safety in some situations, yet suppressing yourself can make it difficult to hear your inner voice, shine your radiant light, and share your sacred gifts with the world.

In this class, journaling and creative writing prompts create space for your full expression. Your quiet inner voice will lead you to the story that wants to be told. Listening to your own story and witnessing others tell theirs offers deep connection–you’re not alone. Your story is valid.

Beginners welcome; you don’t need prior experience with writing, just interest in creative self-exploration.

Time To Write

When you want to write, sometimes getting started is the hardest thing. Even when you know it will feel good once you begin.

Gratitude Writing

Feeling low, ruminating on the past, or worrying about the future?

The restorative practice of gratitude writing expands joyful sensations in your body. Most people leave this event smiling, grounded, and exuding warmth and peacefulness.

“I liked Gratitude Writing. The brainstorming session was fun and I liked how you reminded us to be specific about how we felt about something we were grateful for/why we were grateful for it. I had heard that before, but it can easily get lost in a gratitude practice. Also, I had never heard of gratitude letters. I thought that was a unique idea, and found it helpful.”

New Moon Intention Setting

What if you could bring kindness to yourself even if you aren’t where you want to be? Try a gentle method of manifesting your dreams: Work with nature’s cycles and set intentions from your heart.

In this virtual journaling circle with New Renaissance Bookshop, you will be guided to your most authentic and aligned intentions. Powerfully naming your wishes increases the chances of living your dreams. New moon energy can help organically clarify your desires, start new projects, and purposefully design your life.

“I had heard the phrase “set your intention” before, but didn’t really know what it meant. Leaning into that and learning how to use that made me feel more empowered. It also made things a little clearer.”
